Class
The fourth level in the taxonomy chart, below Phylym (Division is used for plants) and above Family. A category of people or things having the same characteristics. For example – Mammalia includes many orders like Primata (Man), Carnivora (Lim, tiger), etc. Man and tigers share many of the same characteristics (organ function, reproduction).
There are currently eight classifications but plants use only seven.
