Formaldehyde

A toxic colorless, flammable, strong-smelling chemical that is used in building materials and to produce many household products including (partial list): Cigarettes, air fresheners, plug-in fragrances, nail polish, nail polish remover, furnaces, water heaters, and permanent press sheets. Some items including toothpaste, baby care items, hair care products, and skin care products also have formaldehyde added to them.
